Parent Mentor Training- The Parent Mentor Project, headed by Pam
Thornburg, offers various education and training workshops throughout the year
including: Shaken Baby Syndrome Education and Training, Waiver Training and

transportation, and additional services for children, adults,
and families. Services include:

Head Start Fayette County Head Start is a FREE preschool program
for children ages 3-5 years old.
Breakfast, lunch, and a snack are provided. Children receive
developmental, speech, vision, and hearing screenings onsite. They
serve all eligible children, including children with disabilities.
Head Start currently accepts applications year-round for the ELI
(Early Learning Iniative) Program. Also, you may apply for the new

Help Me Grow
Help Me Grow serves a diverse population of expectant parents,
newborns and toddlers in Fayette County. A wide variety of services
designed to encourage the development of young children is
available to all eligible families in Fayette County.
