Fayette County Parent Mentor-
With a working knowledge of the system,a number of  resources, as well as her own
personal experience,
Pam Thornburg works within Fayette County schools, (serving
both Miami Trace and Washington City Schools), to bring you the
Parent Mentor
Project.
The Parent Mentor Project collaborates with several agencies in our area to
provide information for children (ages birth- 22) with disabilities and their families.
They offer support, training workshops with guest speakers, a resource library, and
many other valuable aids.  Pam also assists families with IEP and MFE meetings.
Also, as of August 8th, Pam is now a counselor for the
Ohio Benefit Bank, and will
be able to assist parents in filing State applications from her office, therefore making
resources more available, and also saving them an appointment at our local Job and
Family Services.  Below is a list of services that the
Ohio Benefit Bank offers free of
charge.
